Valuation Management & Consulting
Real Estate Research Corporation (RERC) offers a unique set of core competencies, and its hands-on experience with valuation stands at the forefront. This, along with our expertise in research and analysis, allows RERC to offer true value-add valuation management consulting services while providing comprehensive oversight and perspective beyond those traditionally offered in the appraisal industry.
RERC does not consider its services to be simply administrative in nature, but rather classifies itself as a valuation management consultant with all the practical experience of a property appraiser combined with the high-level investment expertise needed to see the big picture. RERC's senior professionals hold eight MAI designations, five CRE designations, and several FRICS, CCIM, and CFA® designations. Experienced with every major property type in every major U.S. market and some foreign countries, RERC also serves as valuation consultant for multiple commercial real estate portfolios, including several of the largest portfolios in the nation, and as such, appraises and reviews valuations for hundreds of commercial properties each quarter.
RERC's valuation management service also reflects our deep commitment to our clients. In addition to our thoroughness during the entire valuation consulting process, RERC's existing engagements allow us to stay in tune with market dynamics and the investment environment, valuation best practices, and key industry issues (i.e., Global Investment Performance Standards [GIPS] 2010, debt valuations, etc.), thereby providing the broad oversight needed to manage and consult on today's real estate portfolios.
RERC has the hands-on experience required to meet the dynamic financial, legal, economic, and regulatory changes that profoundly affect the needs and balance sheets of today's property owners. RERC is also an SEC-registered investment advisor, is 100-percent independent and objective, and does not handle any third-party money, thereby minimizing conflicts of interest on key valuation or fiduciary-related engagements.
These key complementary skills and capabilities make the difference between RERC and other firms in our ability to effectively and efficiently manage the appraisal and appraisal review process.
